Minor Midget AAA: Dale Parker Memorial Showcase Tournament Champions
The Whitby Minor Midget AAA team
brought home the championship from the Dale Parker Minor Midget AAA Showcase
Tournament held November 10-12th in Brantford, ON.
The
tournament was full of tough competition and excitement with games that saw the
players rally together. During one game they were down 4-1 and turned it around for a 8-5
win, next in the 1/4 finals they pulled out a 1-0 victory with 44 seconds
remaining on the clock, and then in the semi final an overtime 3 on 3 goal to
advance. The championship game was against a very strong host team, the
Brantford 99ers who whitby had lost 4-3 to earlier in the weekend, the team
rallied together once again for a 5-1 win.
