to the Peewee A-Blue team on winning the Peter Mancuso Memorial tournament!
There is no
better way to describe this 2nd gold medal performance of the year
other than it was earned by hard work, dedication, teamwork and pure sweat.
Being drawn into the most competitive round-robin division, the boys prevailed with outstanding performances against Ingersoll and the host Niagara Falls team before a tie with Cambridge in a thrilling end-to-end battle. Whitby ranked 1st by having the least goals against (a very proud accomplishment as noted by the Coach Dan). Semi-final action was a gritty performance beating the Phantom Wolves Mississauga 4-0 before facing Port Perry in the finals. Although a worthy adversary, this final game showed Whitby’s best with a dominating 6-0 victory that never looked back after scoring just 40 seconds into the game. Read More
