Peewee A White Super Sophia Project and the Good Deeds Cup
Earlier this year, Treena Terry introduced the Peewee A White team to the Super Sophia Project. The families of the team contributed to the Super Sophia Project by donating 9 love boxes.
Tonight, we were extremely pleased to invite Sophia to the rink to drop the puck and participate in a TSN/Chevrolet filming of our team in recognition of the community support as part of the Chevrolet Good Deeds Cup.
Greg Messina, Coach of the WMHA Peewee A White Team and Bob McKenzie of TSN, are both pictured with Sophia.
The team presented Sophia with a signed Whitby Wildcat's pink jersey and a gift. We are all inspired by what Sophia has accomplished and were pleased to have her at our game.
Sophia is a healthy 7 year old leukemia survivor. Sophia, and her family, with the support of many donors, including the WMHA Peewee A White team, have collected over 2,000 Love Boxes and are distributing them to children in hospitals at Christmas.
Purely inspirational!
Well done WMHA Peewee A White!!
