Repeat GOLD for Minor Atom Select!
For the second time in as many tournaments, the Minor Atom Select Team brought home the gold medal in the WSMHA Ender Bender Tournament. The team went 3-0 in the round robin before meeting the Barrie Colts in the gold medal game. After opening the scoring only 3 minutes into the game, Barrie evened the score before the first period was out. A harrowing second period that saw no scoring prompted the coaching staff to rally the team and refocus their playmaking skills. Our Wildcats dug in and put 4 third period goals past the Barrie netminder to post a convincing 5-1 win.
