Game 1 - Whitby defeats Belleville 6 to 3
Led by Captain Ethan Kopschinsky, the Whitby Minor Atom kicked off the season with a win on September 20, 2014, vs. Belleville Bulls with a score of 6 to 3. Assistants for the game were Jacob Wilson and Jacob Davenport.
Captain Ethan had the following to say about being a captain. "Being a leader means to support and motivate your team. You have to motivate your team like if you are on the bench and your teammate is skating with the puck you want to yell skate hard to the net or something like that. You have to support you team like if you are sick or something you come to the game and watch your team anyway and motivate your team still."
