Atom AE Win OMHA Championship
The 2014-15 Atom AE Wildcats did the WMHA proud by capturing the elusive RedHats and the Ray Neely Memorial Trophy to cap off a season the boys will not soon forget.

The boys steam rolled their way through a grueling regular season, finishing in first place and not losing a single game along the way. They captured the Championship Trophy in the 43rd SSE London Tournament as well.

The team won playoff series against rivals from Oshawa and Belleville before moving onto the OMHA Semi-Finals where they faced a very tough TNT Tornado team. The boys never wavered in their commitment to the teams motto, "Hardwork and Teamwork". This full-throttle approach took the boys to their third consecutive OMHA Finals.

Heading into last nights Championship clinching game the team held a 5-3 points lead over a very skilled team from Orangeville. The team never once thought a tie would do and came out gunning for a victory. From the moment the boys hit the ice for the warm up the coaches and parents could sense an unbelievable night of Whitby Wildcat hockey was about to unfold. A relentless forecheck and backcheck wore down the team from Orangeville. The team played fantastic defense in front of stellar goaltending in each of our games. When the final buzzer went off the boys exploded onto the ice to celebrate the 5-0 victory.

The coaching staff and parent group are very proud of all 17 players that committed to the teams vision back in September and never let anything get in the way of reaching the goal of an OMHA Championship. Way to go Wildcats!
