Eagles got back in the win column with a fan-pleasing 4-3 victory over the Rockets.
Christian L. got the scoring started potting his first of two goals. Coach Todd has been preaching to his team to “go to the slot” and this goal was the result of that focus. Matthew P. threaded a nice breakaway pass to Owen P. who made no mistake in going low corner to make it 2-0. Christian made it 3-0 on a breakaway goal going to his backhand. However, the Rockets showed no quit and scored two quick goals to get back in the game. Craig B. scored the eventual game-winning goal going 5-hole to make it 4-2. The Rockets came back to make it 4-3 but Luke K., making his first start in goal, made some key saves down the stretch to preserve the victory for his team. “We did all the things we have been working on: getting pucks to the net, pressuring the puck and scoring”
