Depleted CRUSHERS finished strong
Nine Played Fine

With much of the roster away on March Break the CRUSHERS had to dig deep into the skill reserves to keep up with the mighty blue team.
The core group was backstopped by the unflappable Camey "Price" Martin. He stopped opportunity after opportunity that the blue team presented. "His reflexes were that of a stray barn cat", remarked Coach Stapley. Many players were re-positioned throughout the game and adapted like true soldiers in battle. Stapley and Vallbacka were all over the opponents attacks and jumped in to the play frequently to continue pressure in the O zone. "Vallbacka played like a caged animal and exemplified true CRUSHER spirit", Lois "Coach Advisor" commented.
The Fitzpatricks were flying today in pre St. Patricks Day form and gave the group a little "Luck of the Irish". Coach Martin said, " They played so dominating I think they should rename Tuesday to Fitzpatricks Day".
Monster Nino and Chung played really solid and never stopped skating and creating chances all over the ice. Sharland played amazing with his blue line checks and constant fore-checking and Xiao stickhandled confidently in the defensive zone to get the puck to safety.
This was a great finish to a tough playoff for the CRUSHERS. Coach Advisor Lois confirmed, "This win ensures home ice advantage going into the medal round, we have no room for passengers on the CRUSHERS Bus only drivers and if you are not in ... you are in the way." Lois also confirmed something the media was speculating she would do. "Next week will be Stapley's last two games behind the bench, it was an easy decision but his reign is over. I wish him well and hopefully he gets a new tie."
