The Hawks battle hard with Team 6
The Team 2 Black Hawks took to the ice
Saturday against Team 6. A great effort by all the players with a very close
result.
The Hawks took an early two goal lead in the first period with Jack G scoring
on a couple of great shots. The goals were a result of great playmaking from
Joshua F and Ethan M. Great effort Jack!
The Team 6 Reds kept pushing and trimmed the lead to 2-1. Joshua F with a great
effort and some hard work from his line mates lifted the Hawks back to
a 2 goal lead at 3-1, only to have the Reds come back with another goal of their own in the third period.
It was really close in the final minute or so, as Team 6 pulled their goalie for a sixth attacker but with an excellent effort Ethan M. passing the puck to defencemen Navan S. and into an open net ended the threat with 3 seconds remaining.
It was a great win for the Hawks, against a very strong Reds team.
Jayden L. played a terrific game as our goalie and so earned the Gold jersey! Excellent game Jayden.
Next Saturday the Hawks take their 3-4 record and do battle with a very impressive Team 3 Sharks team.
