Hawks work hard for a draw with the Mustangs
The Black Hawks went into battle with the first place Team 4 Mustangs on Sunday Afternoon. The second place Black Hawks knew that a Super Bowl Sunday date with the Mustangs wasn't going to be easy, and it certainly wasn't.
The game had a playoff atmosphere to it and both teams seemed to be set on winning the final meeting of the two in the regular season. The Hawks goalie was ill and therefore Evan Jae K. (normally a hard working centre men), took to the net in hopes of lifting the Hawks to a victory.
The Hawks took an early 1-0 lead on some hard work from Ethan M. The Mustangs responded with 2 goals to gain the lead into the third period. The Hawks defence held fast and with the Hawks goalie pulled for an extra attacker, Joshua F. was able to slam home a loose puck in the crease for the tying goal with seconds remaining.
An excellent effort by Evan Jae, Peter R.,Navan S.,Sebastain T. and Ethan D. who worked hard on the back D-line.
A special effort by our Player of the Game, Ethan M. as well as Jack G., Joshua F. and an outstanding effort by Mike D. up front....WAY TO GO FELLAS!!!

One more game before the playoffs begin, but I'm sure the battle of the Black and Yellow shirts will ramp up again, Stay tuned...
