Mustangs and Sharks play a tight game
The mighty Mustangs played the Sharks in a hard fought battle. The Mustangs pulled ahead to a 3-0 lead, with 2 goals by Zach Valeri, who always seems to be in the right place at the right time. Justin Diguer and Thomas Eckersall worked hard to get the third goal. The Mustangs then seemed to take their foot off the gas as they thought this one was in the bag.
Then in the second period, the Sharks came back and bit the Mustangs hard with 3 quick goals to tie up the game. It seemed as though the momentum had shifted and that the game would go to the Sharks. However, the Mustangs came back to life, and with a lot of hard work, Aidan Nisbet with help from Thomas Eckersall scored one last goal with only a few minutes left in the game. This goal turned out to be the difference between the 2 teams. Many of the Mustang players played their hearts out, like Matthew Poser, Blake Fera, Bryson Betts and Callum McLeod, however the game jersey went to Aidan Nisbet for stepping up when his team needed him the most.
