Mustangs in a Tough Battle with Green Hornets
After coming off a defeat to the Hawks (and after a long 2 week break) the Mustangs were back, and found themselves in a tough game against the Green Hornets. It was a goaltending duel, with both goalies stonewalling the shooters for most of the game. The Mustang's Josh B made some great saves to keep his team in the game.
Finally, in the 3rd period, Connor R. scored a goal and broke the tie to put the Hornets ahead. Just when it started to look like it might be another loss for the Mustangs, Blake F, Callum M and Justin D put together a beautiful play to beat the Hornets goalie.
With only seconds left in the game, one of the Hornets broke free on a break away. However, out of nowhere, Blake F thwarted the attempt by stripping the puck, and neutralizing the last minute threat. All of the players played a great game, with Aidan N, Jacob A and Robbie M putting in solid efforts. However, the golden jersey, player of the game went to Blake F of the Mustangs for his determination and always being in the middle of the action.
