The team took on the Quinte Red Devils, the Halton Hurricanes, the Brampton 45’s and the host Barrie Jr. Colts. After round robin play the Wildcats were in first place and earned a spot in the Gold Medal game. The opponent was the second place Quinte Red Devils. The final was a tight affair between these two longtime rivals. In the end the Wildcats prevailed 3-2 to win the OMHA Gold Medal.
By winning the OMHA Championship, the Bantam AAA team has qualified for the week long All Ontario Bantam Championships being held in Rockland Ontario and being hosted by the Eastern Ontario Wild. Round robin action begins March 28th with the Wildcats taking on the GTHL champions at 3:00pm.
