Novice A Blue Edge Again Cup Champions
Thanksgiving Weekend saw Novice A Blue at home in Whitby to compete in the Edge Again Cup. The boys worked hard in the Round Robin ending with a perfect 4-0 record.
Sunday morning saw an all Whitby Semi Final with A Blue edging out A White 4-1 in a well played game. The boys were excited to play against friends and schoolmates.
The final was a rematch between Whitby and the Erie North Shore Storm, a team Whitby shut out in Round Robin play. Erie opened the scoring, but Whitby fought back with three unanswered goals. With under 2 minutes to go and the Erie net empty, the visitors "Stormed" back scoring two goals; the tying one coming with just 3 seconds left. It was off to a 4 on 4 sudden death overtime. Whitby came out flying and just under a minute into OT scored the winner claiming both the "Cup" and Slushies from Coach Dean!
