Whitby Wildcats Minor Atom AE - Dan Pulham Memorial Tournament Champions!
What a tremendous weekend for the Whitby Wildcats Minor Atom AE team: a weekend that featured grit, heart and an unwavering desire to win. The boys showed what can be accomplished when they played complete team games over the course of a tournament. A usually explosive offence was made even more potent by a mobile and determined defensive effort. Loosing only to the host London Bandits 4-2 in the round robin, the Wildcats entered the playoff round seeded second. After dispatching the Waterloo Wolves in the semifinals, Whitby got the opportunity to avenge their only defeat facing the top seeded London Bandits in the finals. The Wildcats showed their championship mettle by beating the vaunted home favourites 5-1 using their overall team speed to maximum advantage. A well deserved win! Well done boys! Congratulations!
