Atom AE " Squirt A Thanksgiving Classic Champions"
The Atom AE team travelled to Pittsburgh this past weekend for the Pittsburgh Thanksgiving Classic Tournament, Squirt "A" division and came home Champions!
The boys started off strong, winning against GTHL team West Lightning Mall 9-1, later in the day, the boys fought hard, but succumbed to Ohio's Parma Flyers losing 4-1. They re-grouped overnight and won the early morning game against Lorne Park Ojibwa 6-1. In the afternoon, they met the Applewood Coyotes and played hard to win 5-3, securing their presentation in the finals the following morning against, Ohio's Parma Flyers.
The boys came to play and scored the first goal early in the game. Followed by another 2 goals in the first period. They continued to dominate the game and the final score ended with the Whitby Wildcats Atom AE winning (6-3) as tournaments champions for 2015-16. The boys played with heart and showed great attributes this weekend, including sportsmanship, respect and pride! Way to go Wildcats!
