FINALLY GET TO PLAY....
It has been one obstacle after another trying to get a game in for this Select team and we FINALLY got to play.
Game 1 of the Richmond Hill Stars tournament.
The end result was 1 - 1 with our team's first goal coming from an incredible bullet of a shot from forward Connor Kanellis, assisted by Jaxxon Joensen and Cole Cheverie. Great goaltending by Sebastian Garcia along with solid defensive plays by Jack Hurstfield-Meyer and Marko Young shutting down 2 on 1's.
Whitby controlled the game play and the puck was in Oakville's end for most of the game. It was a great showing all around to kick-start the tournament as well as the U14 Select season.
