I can see why Whitby had chosen a logo with a wildcat that has bared its teeth, as that is exactly what our players did after Kitchener opened up the scoring in the 1st period...
We allowed Kitchener to have the lead for no more than 40 seconds before Jonah Morales scored with a blazing wrist shot on an incredible set-up from his line-mates Connor Kanellis and Jaxxon Joensen. Chase Gallacher scored 2 well-earned goals and Jesse Burke scored another. Aiden Hodgkinson scored his 3rd game winning goal of the season and 2nd of the tournament.
Amazing defensive play from Cooper Carey who had a couple of incredible offensive rushes, along with stellar shut-down plays by Cole Schaefer, Marko Young and Jack Hurstfield-Meyer making it clear to Kitchener that they "don't belong in our house!!!"
Well done team...On to the finals!!!
