5 - 1 beatdown against Kingston
A week after the team's first loss of the season they were able to turn things around in a very big way. Our wildcats came out strong with a quick goal by Tyler Ivankovic. Kingston responded with a goal of their own and then there was no turning back for the rest of the game...
Sebastian Garcia shut Kingston down for the rest of the game while we got some great goals by Marko Young, Jesse Burke and a pair by the team's leading scorer Aiden Hodgkinson. We had three players with 2 assists each - Lucas Stathopoulos, Chase Gallacher and Cole Cheverie along with Aydan Hardy with one.
Other highlights of the game were some extremely good penalty killing by Jonah Morales, Hudson Collis and Cooper Carey as we found ourselves down by 2 players at one point. Jack Hurstfield-Meyer shut down a great 2 - on - 1 opportunity and Cole Schaefer showed Kingston that while HE is on the ice - it's better for them to try and shoot on net than to try to get around him.
