Congratulations to the
Whitby Wildcats U12 Select team
who went undefeated in the
March to the Hills tournament
this past weekend and taking home GOLD!!
The team played 3 games in the round robin and finished with
a 3-0 record with 14 GF & 3 GA, setting them up for the Semi Final match
against Halton Hills. The players fought
hard and were in it to win it. They
advanced to the Final game with a 6-1 win over Halton Hills.
Our players met Guelph Gryphons in the final game and commanded
a 2 goal lead at the end of the first and were able to maintain that lead until
the very end taking the gold medal with a 2-0 win.
Tournament record 22 GF & 4 GA with an impressive 3 game
shutout!
The coaching staff could not be more proud of
the effort and work the team put into this weekend. Representing themselves and
their hometown of Whitby. We all closed off the weekend with many great
memories among the players and their families which has no doubt created some
long lasting bonds. We weren’t playing
with a full roster as we had a few players (and coach) who were not able to
attend – let it be known you were all missed very much.
Next stop: Stouffville’s Year Ender Bender at the end of the
month.
