CRUSHERS GO ON OFFENSIVE AGAINST ROCKETS
Young Stapley leads way by focusing on offence.

The Playoff drought is finally over and Coach Stapley was quoted as saying, "teams are playing strong and tight, we had to open up more and flex our muscles."
Young Stapley came out of the dressing room on a mission and set the tone early. Then continued to play an aggressive but offensive game. Supported by a great line up of players that continued to play two-way hockey for the whole game. Aussie and Stapley have gelled well when playing together and Coach Stapley did not mess with success. Being short Delvecchio forced Stapley to adjust and tweak and that resulted in some fresh chemistry. Xiao and Fitzpatrick played fantastic in their positions and created chance after chance for the CRUSHER club. Sharland who will more than likely go home with the Lady Byng this year, was on top of all battles and was a threat in the neutral ice zone. Nino "The Monster" held true to his name and relentlessly scared and tormented the Rockets defensive core. Probably one of the most improved players since the Allstar break, Richards, continued his evasive dangling and made cerebral plays throughout the contest.
Defensive Coach Cuddy stated, " we worked all week and watched game tape and lectured our CRUSHERS about the importance of positioning and clearing the puck...we could not teach them anymore...they had to execute their learning..."
Execute they did! Young Cuddy moved up to centre and George moved back and the move proved golden. George created an offensive option on the blueline and executed this several times throughout. Cuddy dazzled the crowd with his "Elvis Stoiko" type skating and end to end rushes. Chung played so well that Coach Cuddy has been answering calls from newspapers and scouts all week long. Ladak displayed his patience when chaos is all around and continually executed correctly.
Martin backstopped the mighty CRUSHERS again and is really looking similar to another world class goalie. He now goes by the tag of Cammie Price.
Coach Consultant Lois
was interviewed by TSN Trade Deadline on Monday by Darren Dreger and adamantly warned season ticket holders that, "If that Leaf-loving Stapley doesn't turn this team around and win one in the Playoffs, he best be calling some real estate agents."
I guess Coach Stapley has one more week of grace eh Lois
