Team 8 and CRUSHERS GO TO THE BUZZER
Great goal-tending and spirited play entertained a packed house at 9am this past Sunday.
Martin (CRUSHERS) and EDWARDS (TEAM 8) dazzled the crowd with terrific toe-saves and brave blocker stops all game to allow both teams to skate off with a tie.
TEAM 8 played an intense fore-checking game that had the CRUSHERS defence of Vallbacka, Ladak, Cuddy, and Nino standing up to the challenge. Nino had a great short side goal and Vallbacka held the line and cleared the puck with authority.
The CRUSHERS forwards were aggressive and pounced on rebounds with Stapley playing strong alongside George and Xiao. Richards and Fitzpatrick gelled and cleared the puck in the defensive zone and had many chances in the offensive zone. Chung and Sharland were a threat on every shift and continue to improve each game.
Competition is tight in this division with the CRUSHERS having to pull the goalie in the dying minute to score with 0.1 of a second left on the clock.
