Crushers Skills Improving
Hard work and attendance at practice is paying off for this Diverse Team.
As a Coach, the season starts in August/September with all of the players meeting each other and learning expectations and routines.
October is when baseline assessments of skills are done and from there development plans for each player happens.
November is when the players' light bulbs go on and confidence soars. Traditionally, this is where players are encouraged to do drills and skill development and are pushed to go "Over Speed".
The stations of skating, edge work, and transitions are vital to every practice. Positioning will come but all players will experience every position and learn all expectations. Systems will come at later ages but right now its important that the CRUSHERS Skate, Skate, and Skate.
Players are developed in Practice...Not games ...so I am so impressed with all of our CRUSHERS 6 am appearances and those who come even earlier for the extra free ice.
CRUSHERS you are all working so hard...excellent progress...excellent fun.
The Coaches are all very proud of you. Thank you to all parents.
Remember listen to your parents and teachers, and have fun in Hockey!!
