Cuddy Makes Goalie Debut
Martin scores a Beauty!
In the early hours this Sunday morning, Team 8 and the CRUSHERS tangled in a spirited match. Kellar's squad came out strong and attacked all game.
The CRUSHERS battled, worked hard and displayed great skills in the offensive and defensive zones. One highlight was when Martin completed a set up from Stapley in the slot to notch his first goal of the season.
Amazing efforts were given by the forwards of Richards, Sharland, and Delvecchio. Great passing and back checking by Fitzpatrick, Nino, Stapley, Xiao, and Martin.
"Defensive coverage was like putting a blanket over a campfire", CRUSHERS Defensive Coach Cuddy announced. This was a factor in the game as Chung, George, Vallbacka, and Ladak held their zones effectively.
Trainer George said, "the holidays will prove beneficial to our players, but fitness should be maintained throughout the Christmas layoff."
CRUSHERS offensive Coach Vallbacka added, " ...our top-gun offensive arsenal needs a break to re-charge the batteries".
Cuddy had a great debut in goalie and it is rumoured that his agent was in contact with Coach Stapley after the match and they will be in discussions during the World Junior layoff.
