The Gloria Rints Memorial Scholarship is a $1,000.00 award given annually to Whitby Minor Hockey Association players who exemplify the qualities of sportsmanship, leadership, and commitment to the game, while maintaining a strong academic standing.
WMHA is pleased to announce there will be a total of 2 scholarships awarded in 2024.The recipients of this award will use the funds to pursue post-secondary education. WMHA U16 or U18 players that plan to attend a post-secondary institution in 2024-25 are eligible to apply.
This bursary is a result of the significant generosity and ongoing support of Delmer Rints. Delmer is the driving force behind the annual Silver Stick Tournament hosted in Whitby for close to 40 years. This bursary is presented in the name of Delmer's late wife Gloria Rints; Gloria was a great activist in our community and a valued volunteer within minor hockey.
