WMHA COVID-19 Refund Policy

 

If the hockey season is cancelled prior to the start of the season a fee of $65 will be deducted from the initial registration payment to cover credit card processing, registration system fees and administrative costs.  

IMPORTANT – 
Please ensure your Hockey Canada profile has accurate contact and address information. In the event the hockey season is cancelled prior to the start of the season and refunds need to be issued they may be done via cheque and will be mailed to the address on file.


No refunds will be provided to teams/cohorts who shut down for a period of time as a result of COVID-19 as WMHA is not able to return the unused ice.

 

House League Refund / Withdrawal

 

Prior to the start of hockey

Amount paid to date less $65 to cover credit card processing, registration system fees and administrative costs.

 

Up to October 31st

If there is a wait list in the division and the spot can be filled a refund may be provided based on the amount paid to date less $200 to cover credit card processing, registration system fees, administrative costs, player insurance, jersey/socks and ice times in October. If there is not a player on the waitlist a refund will not be issued. 

 

November 1st onwards

No refunds will be provided to players who voluntarily withdraw after November 1st, 2020 for any reason.

 


If hockey is cancelled by a governing body and/or the Town of Whitby at any point due to COVID-19  WMHA will provide a pro-rated refund of payments made. 
 

If the hockey season is cancelled prior to January 1st, the second installment of $250 (WMHA Registration Fee) will not be collected.  

Refunds will be processed monthly and are subject to a $65 administrative fee.

No refunds will be issued prior to October 17th, 2020.


Representative Refund / Withdrawal

 

Prior to the start of hockey

Amount paid to date less $65 to cover credit card processing, registration system fees and administrative costs.

 

After the start of hockey

No refunds will be provided for Representative players who voluntarily withdraw under any circumstances.

 


If hockey is cancelled by a governing body and/or the Town of Whitby at any point due to COVID-19 the subsequent monthly payments will not be required to be made and WMHA will provide a pro-rated refund of payments made. 

Refunds will be processed monthly and are subject to a $65 administrative fee.

No refunds will be issued prior to October 17th, 2020.


Refunds related to injuries/illnesses must be requested online through the website link, and must be submitted within 30-days of the date of the injury. A copy of the doctor’s note must be provided to the WMHA, General Manger ([email protected]) before the refund can be issued. 

No refunds will be granted under any circumstance after November 1st, 2020
