Atom, 2014-2015, AA (Whitby Minor Hockey)

Atom AA started off their OMHA playdowns with a decisive 4-0 win against a tough Ajax Knights team.  The team played  an aggressive yet disciplined game from start to finish, allowing them to create opportunities that they took full advantage of. Congratulations to all the boys on a very well played game!  Keep up the good work!

Atom AA claimed their second tournament victory of the season, taking Gold in the Pickering Panthers "Bring Your AA Game" tournament. The team took first place overall during the four round robin games by a combined score of 17 - 1.  Whitby beat Timmins in a semi final shoot-out with the goalie shutting down both shooters to take the game 2-1, before taking Gold in an hard fought final against the Uxbridge Stars by a score of 2-1.  Congratulations to the players and coaches on their second tournament Gold!

The Atom AA team won their first tournament of the year in Ottawa this weekend, taking gold in the inaugural Capital Gold Rush tournament.   During round robin play, the team went 3 and 1, resulting in a first place ranking, then went on to beat the local favorite, Ottawa Valley Silver Seven, by a score of 5 - 3 to become tournament champions!   Congratulations to the players and the coaching staff on your first tournament win and a great start to the season!
