Whitby Novice Select Wildcats Win Gold!!!
The Whitby Wildcats Novice Select team brought home the gold as champions of the Bradford Bulldogs Blue and Gold Tournament.
Held in the Bradford area Dec 5 to 7, the team worked together as a unit throughout the weekend taking the ice versus Uxbridge (12-1 win), Port Credit (3-0 loss) and Oakville (5-1 win) in the round-robin.
Facing off against Port Credit again in the championship game, the boys put in a stellar collective effort and battled to a 1-0 victory in a white-knuckle double overtime that included a 3 on 2 penalty kill.
The team gave it everything they had and were rewarded for their efforts! Congratulations Wildcats Novice Select!
