Team 02, TYK-FOOTE, 2015-2016 (Whitby Minor Hockey)

With a tie game today versus a very strong Team #8 that gives the green machine a chance to play in the "A" final. I just wanted to congratulate the boys on a amazing playoffs with a 4-0-1 record and overall a great season so far. It's been a lot of fun but we aren't done we have 2 games left, GO GET EM GREEN!!!! Game 4 was Green machines first victory of the season and was a great effort by all the boys. We really played as a team and played good defense when it was needed most. Spencer Wellwood this weeks goalie had a great game and made some key saves to keep us ahead for the win. Way to tough it out after being hit with a puck in the arm Spencer stood tall and played great. Special shout out to Ryder Michelson who was this weeks player of the game with a great defensive effort to help his teammates win. Also great effort by Griffin Jannes who had a hattrick this week. Game 3 proved to be the toughest of the season so far but the team lived up to the challenge. We were down by a few goals early but with a great team effort and determination we were able to come back and make a close game out of it. Great game today by Cullen Fright this weeks goaltender. Also a special shout out to Carter Lee who had 4 Goals in today's contest, amazing effort!! Griffin Jannes had 2 assists and Braeden Peonidis scored the teams other goal.
