BELOW TRYOUTS
Tryouts for Novice AAA, AA, A & DS7 Blue(1) and White(1)
teams will be held in the spring for the 2019-20 season. The tryout schedule is available on our website
here.
Evaluations for the DS Wildcat program will be held in the fall.

COACHES
WMHA is happy to announce the following coaches for Novice in the 2019-20 season:
AAA – Tim Holland
AA – Kevin Lynch
AA – Greg Kraemer
A – TBD
It is anticipated that Novice AE programming will not be offered across the Lakeshore League for the
2019-20 season. An additional A team may be added - to be determined during the tryout process.
Coaching applications for DS7 Blue and White will be accepted after player selection is complete.
Coaching applications for DS Wildcat teams will be accepted in the fall.
REGISTRATION
To participate in spring tryouts players must register for the 2019-20 season; this is applicable to all players Minor Novice through Minor Midget.
Any players new to WMHA must register in person at the WMHA office.
Only residents of Whitby are eligible to play within the Minor Novice & Novice Developmental Competitive programs. (AAA, AA, A & MN Blue/White)
TRYOUT PASSPORT
Novice
All players are required to purchase a tryout passport. The tryout passport is valid for AAA, AA, A tryouts. All players must attend the first AAA tryout. Visit WMHA website for more information.
Minor Novice DS Blue & White
Any player participating in tryouts is required to purchase a tryout passport. Players are encouraged to attend all sessions; all the ice-times are considered as part of the evaluation process.
You can purchase your tryout passport on the WMHA website after April 1st.
Please ensure you have proof of purchase and proof of registration available at each tryout. At the first tryout for each level players will receive a helmet number; this number will remain with you for the duration of spring tryouts. Please do not remove it.
Cost: There are additional costs associated with all enhanced/rep programming.
GOALIES
Players attending Novice tryouts are encouraged to participate in the position they feel most confident in.
2011 and below players are not required to participate in WMHA goalie evaluations.

DS WILDCAT PROGRAM
This program is designed to support player development at Minor Novice and Initiation. Players will receive 15 additional development sessions supported by Edge Hockey. A full description of the program will be released in May. Please visit our website or follow us on social media @whitbyhockey
COMMUNITY HOCKEY
WMHA will offer Community hockey programs next season; players will receive development supported by our CHIP Program, Headstart Hockey, and Edge Hockey. Community hockey will represent what was formerly House League hockey and include the the following divisions:

The most notable is change is the formation of the Initiation (IP) program. The Initiation division will combine 2013 and 2014 players into one division.
