WMHA AGM
Submitted By Jane Sedo on Thursday, April 23, 2020
Under the current Provincial Emergency Order, WMHA has made the decision to postpone our Annual General Meeting which is typically held in June.

WMHA is incorporated as a not-for-profit corporation and therefore governed by the Ontario Corporations Act. On March 30, 2020, the Government of Ontario issued a temporary emergency order, pursuant to the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act, to provide flexibility in calling and holding annual meetings. In this regard, the Emergency Order provides relief to all Ontario not- for-profit corporations by enabling them to extend the timeframe by which associations must hold an AGM to 90 days after the Emergency Order is terminated by the Ontario government.

The WMHA Board of Directors supports this temporary measure and will reschedule the AGM once the Ontario government terminates the Emergency Order.

We thank you for your patience and understanding during this time and we remain committed to providing you with more information as it becomes available.
