WMHA Community: Hockey for Health Heroes
Submitted By Jane Sedo on Thursday, May 7, 2020
During this time WMHA remains committed to supporting our hockey community and our community at large. Whitby Minor Hockey Association, along with Whitby Girls Hockey Association and Oshawa Lady Generals, have joined together to donate $9000 to Lakeridge Health - Hockey for Health Heroes.

This donation goes directly towards supporting health care workers as they focus on providing excellent care to members of our community affected by COVID-19. We are honoured to partner with our hockey families to strengthen our fight to overcome COVID-19 in the Durham Region.

In addition to this, several WMHA teams have generously donated their team iPad to the hospital. These iPads are used by staff and patients to communicate with family members outside the hospital. If you would like to donate an iPad to Lakeridge Health and need more information, please visit the Lakeridge Health website.

It's been wonderful to see all members of our community come together during this time. Please continue to share your stories with us over the coming months [email protected]
