WMHA 2020 - 2021 Season
Submitted By WMHA Board of Directors on Tuesday, March 16, 2021
The WMHA Board of Directors has officially called an end to the 2020-2021 hockey season.  It has been an unprecedented season that unfortunately did not provide for the season to run as planned.

As a result, we have determined the structure to compensate parents for the unused portion of their registration fees.

This compensation will be provided by either:

1)    Refund

2)    Credit towards 2021-2022 season

Parents can choose their method of compensation by completing the appropriate form:

Registration Credit Application Form (2021-2022)

OR

Refund Request Form

Forms must be completed by April 15th, 2021.

If we do not receive a completed form for a player by April 15th, WMHA will use the compensation as a credit towards the 2021-22 season.

Registration for the 2021-2022 season will open within the next couple of months. For players selecting a credit towards the 2021-2022 season, registration must be completed by July 15th.

The compensation amount to parents has been calculated based on one time and ongoing costs directly incurred when our players are on the ice.  Administrative costs incurred by WMHA not dependent upon the players skating are being paid for out of WMHA’s reserve fund. For more details, please see your respective tier.

Ongoing costs dependent upon the number of ice times incurred in this program were:

·      Ice fees

·      Referee and timekeeper fees when games were able to be played

The compensation amount for Tier 3 players is $135

TIER 1 & 2  -  REPRESENTATIVE

All players at this level have paid $680 towards the 2020-2021 season.   A registration payment of $400 and an additional payment of $280.

One-time costs incurred in this program were:

Compensation has been calculated to reflect the costs incurred in each specific tier within each age division.   Tiers within an age division may have a different level of compensation if there were fewer players per team or if their Tier received an additional ice due to scheduling and timing of the season shut down.
