U7 and Below Divisions
Headstart Hockey will continue as our valued partner for our U7 and below house league programming.
Headstart Hockey realizes the importance of teaching players at this young age and aims to give them the proper skills and knowledge to succeed throughout their hockey careers. Headstart instructors have a background in teaching players of this group and are certified Canadian Hockey Initiation Program (CHIP) Instructors. The program will teach a player proper skating techniques, stride power and how to handle the puck, among other important skills. Ultimately, their goal is for each player to learn the skills needed to reach the next level of hockey.
U8 and U9 Divisions
WMHA is excited to welcome Durham Hockey Development to our association.
Durham Hockey Development (DHD) is owned and operated by former professional hockey players who are born, raised and reside in the Durham region. Their vision is to grow the love of the game and to develop hockey skills at a young age. DHD teaches the FUNdamentals of the game of hockey in a fun environment that is dedicated to facilitating skill development from beginner to elite.
U10 to U13 Representative Divisions
WMHA is proud to continue our partnership with Edge Hockey Academy. Anthony and his Edge group have over 20 years of hockey training and development. Their professional elite training academy that will develop the complete all-around player. Each qualified instructor brings years of playing and coaching/teaching experience. The staff are qualified instructors that all share a similar passion......to help hockey players play at their maximum potential.
U10 to U13 House League Divisions
WMHA is pleased to partner with Burnsy Hockey School for our House League Development.
Burnsy’s Hockey is designed for those who have a passion for the sport no matter what skill level. The objective is to build on that skill level and maximize their potential. This is done by providing structured drills, assessments and team concepts. Their mission is for every player to be motivated, build confidence, learn sportsmanship and above all enjoy Canada’s national pastime.
