Reminder - Mandatory Safety Equipment
While we are very excited to have all of our players back on the ice, we would like to issue a reminder regarding mandatory safety equipment and the importance of ensuring it is worn by all players at all times.
Neckguards and mouthguards are required to be worn by all players at all times. Neckguards can not be modified in ANY way. This includes being taped in an effort to make them smaller, or cut open to remove the Kevlar.
Officials have been asked to enforce a zero tolerance policy regarding unsafe or missing mandatory safety equipment. It is important to understand the reasoning behind making these pieces of equipment mandatory, and equally important everyone follows the rules that are in place; we would hate to see anyone injured.
