A close to the 2015/2016 season and some updates

As we come to a close to the season I wanted to convey a big thank you to all.

Our association could not function without volunteers who donate many hours of their personal time to deliver an exceptional hockey experience in Whitby.

Our coaches, trainers, managers and convenors thank you very much for making the WMHA a great place to play hockey.

To the families thank you for supporting your players and the association and creating a positive environment for the kids.

For the players - you are the most important asset this association has and none of us should lose sight of this!  You all should convey a sense of teamwork, respect, competitiveness and most importantly fun to make this another great season.

To our Board and our Office Managers; the hours you volunteer and commit each season is truly appreciated as no one other than you realizes the amount of effort it takes to get 3,000 players on the ice and keep them playing throughout the year.  I am very appreciative of everything you provide to this association.

We have had some great successes this year in our Houseleague, Select and Rep programs (too many to mention here under this note) but I would like to congratulate all the teams on their accomplishments as though you have made Whitby proud you have made your families and coaches proud as well.

There is still great hockey going on and I continue to wish those teams the best of luck.

Our registration for next season will start on April 1st with details to be posted to our website in the next few days.

Have a safe and fun summer and I look forward to another great season in 2016/2017.
