Team 03, Minor Atom 1, 2016-2017 (Whitby Minor Hockey)

Adrian took home the golden jersey today. He played a great game on D, skating hard and working to keep pucks onside not letting them come out. It was one of his best games all year. Way to go Adrian!  Jackson played solid in goal again, making some big key saves! The whole team skated well, they had a long layoff and they came out to play great effort today team!

Just want to say great job to Mason for taking the reigns in net for our last game and doing an amazing job between the pipes!! He made some great saves and bailed his team out a couple of times.  Not to be outdone but Michelangelo had a 3 goal outburst that help seal the win for us. BUT... Anthony really played his best game of the season on DEFENCE!!! I think he may play there again!! lol. He was right at home and in the play much more battling for each puck. He made a real important stop on the blue line that would have been a 3 on none the other way.  Great job to the entire ...

Brady scored his first goal! Brady skated hard to the net and was in the right position for a rebound that he whacked into the net. It wasn't pretty but it was a well earned first goal that also earned him the Golden Jersey. He almost potted another on a one timer that just went wide! So close! Everyone played really hard today, even in a loss we had lots of chances to score and its only a matter of time before they start going in. Keep working hard boys!

Team 3 - We need a better name than that. Now that all the trades are behind us we need to come up with a team nickname. I'll email all your parents for your idea and then we will select one.  Remember we are team 3 colour Silver... if that helps any of you. :)

Hi Team 3, it was a tough loss today. The last time we played this team we lost 11-1, today it was 2-1. Stronger efforts from all players today and we battled one of the better teams for the entire game. Part of the reason is the continued improved play from our goalie Jackson. Jackson made some key saves and stopped a breakaway on the other team. He really held his own in the crease today thats why he earned the golden jersey. Great effort Jackson!!
