Team 08, Peewee, 2016-2017 (Whitby Minor Hockey)

Full marks to the kids for incredible effort again. We played without some key players and battled hard for a 3-3 tie. Sorry for the welts from some errant sicks and well done to the goalie keeping his cool in spite of the shovelling and slashing each time he had his hand on the puck. I love the hard work, team spirit and good sportsmanship showed by all every game, these kids are a pleasure to watch.

Outstanding effort this week. The entire team played with high intensity from the goalie on out. Great team play, passing, hustle, pressure, back-checking, big saves, etc. It was an amazing effort to watch!!!

Well our roster is finally set. We have been in every game and now we need to start being the winner. Last week we were beaten by one player who scored 4 goals. Now we need to work on shutting such players down. We were missing three good players which hurt us but when we have all hands on deck, we will do some damage and shut teams down.  This week we should have two players back but unfortunately one will still be down with an injured wrist.
