2019 Fort Erie Winter Classic Champions
On Sunday, January 6th, the Whitby Bantam AE team
beat the Garden City Merritton Bulldogs 3-1 to win the 2019 Fort Erie Winter
Classic hockey tournament. The team went 5-0 throughout the 12 team tournament
and battled back for a come from behind win on 3 of the 5 games including a closely
matched final. The team played solidly throughout the tournament with a
commitment to defence and hard work. Congrats boys, let’s keep the
momentum going throughout the playoffs!
