Congratulations to our U13BB Boys on their second Gold Medal Tournament win this season!
What an incredible Family Day weekend spent at the Josh Bailey Classic Tournament hosted in Clarington.
Your Whitby Wildcat's played 6 games over 4 days, going undefeated, with 34 goals for and 6 against.
Our first game on Thursday night, was a win against Oshawa Generals - 4-0
Friday afternoon, we took home two wins against Newcastle Stars 6-1 and Aurora Tigers 8-1
Saturday morning, the boys battled hard and beat the Clarington Toros 6-2, putting us in first place in the round robin.
On Sunday morning, we played against the Oshawa Generals in the Semi-Finals and came out on top with a score of 6-2.
Sunday afternoon, our boys were feeling confident and ready to go for the Championship Game against the Clarington Toros. As they stepped onto the ice, we could feel the energy of the arena shift in our favour, as our family and friends cheered their hearts out. The boys played as a team, working hard each and every shift, backchecking, forechecking, amazing goaltending and scoring goals, to give us the shutout victory of 4-0.
We are so proud of our players. They continuously step onto the ice with determination and grit. They are humble, kind and respectful to all coaches, players and referees and they show up each day to play.
