PeeWee, 2016-2017, AA (Whitby Minor Hockey)

The Peewee AA team finished off the season last night with a 3-1 win after a hard fought series against Clarington to take the Lakeshore League Gold. On behalf of all the parents, I would like to offer congratulations to the coaching staff and players on a great season and express how proud we are of all the boys!  A special Thank You to all the coaches for the countless hours dedicated to making this team a group of young men that represent the best of Whitby Hockey. We wish the team luck as we look forward to the Lakeshore-York Simcoe Challenge in early April.  GO WHITBY!!!!

Make it two for the Peewee AA team who won their second tournament this past weekend. After placing second amongst the field of 12 teams after round robin play, the team played 2 nail-biters - winning the quarterfinal 2-1 vs Mississauga by scoring the winning goal with 10 sec left in the 3rd, and winning the semi 2-1 in overtime vs the Vaughan Panthers. The final against the host London Knights Green team was tight until the 3rd when the boys scored 3 goals on their way to a decisive 6-2 win!  Congratulations to the players, parents, and coaches on an amazing weekend!  

The Peewee AA team won their first tournament this weekend, going undefeated on their way to 2-0 shutout win against the Mississauga Braves.  Congratulations to the players and coaches on an amazing start to the season!
