Minor Bantam, 2016-2017, AA (Whitby Minor Hockey)

Another round, another victory for the Minor Bantam AA Wildcats!  With a chance to avenge a tough semi-final loss to the same opponent 2 seasons ago, our boys came after the Barrie Colts with a definite purpose, this time setting the Colts aside in 3 straight one-goal victories.  The win was capped by a solid come-from-behind effort in a hard-fought game 3. Next up - the OMHA finals against Burlington.  Stay tuned!

Congrats to our boys for a gutsy effort to get into the OMHA semi-finals against Barrie, starting tonight at Iroquois Park! Whitby had a strong second place standing in the Lakeshore season, finishing a mere 3 points out of first place.  After a typically hard-fought first round series win against Ajax, Whitby - battling through a number of injuries and other player absences - then dispatched the regular season Lakeshore leaders, Northumberland, in a tight 5-game series.  The team now represents the Lakeshore loop in seeking to bring home a provincial championship. Congrats to the team on a dominant 2016 Edge Again Cup tournament victory on Thanksgiving weekend!  After shutting out the opposition through 4 round-robin games, the total team effort culminated in 4-1 and 8-1 victories in the semi-final and final games respectively.  Excellent work by all!
