Novice, 2015-2016, AE (Whitby Minor Hockey)

Your Novice AE Wildcats brought home OMHA Gold and the beloved Red Hats last night with a big game 6 win!  The team entered the Finals as the "underdog" against the first place Peterborough Petes but showed everyone how far they have come this season.  Four out of the first five games went to overtime and game 5 ended in a tie, sending the teams to a spirited game 6 on the team's lucky rink - Pad 4 at Iroquois.  The rink was done up with Petes and Wildcats signs and a huge crowd showed up for both sides, setting the stage to name the champs.

After a very exciting series finale against Belleville, your Novice AE Wildcats are looking forward to the OMHA Finals!  Still riding high from tying game 5 with 16 seconds to go and then clinching it less than a minute into overtime, the boys are ready to go for the Red Hats in the Finals...Let's Go Wildcats!

Our Novice AE Wildcats came home champs from the Peterborough Thanksgiving AE tournament!  After going 3-0-1 in round robin play, including a tie against the Orangeville Flyers, the boys met with the Flyers again in the final.  A true team effort resulted in a 3-2 victory and the championship!  Way to go Wildcats!

Novice AE Lakeshore league play starts Friday, October 2nd when the Peterborough Petes travel down to meet our Wildcats!  The game is at 6 pm at Iroquois Park Pad 2, see you there!

Please come out and support your Whitby Wildcats Novice AE team by attending our pub night tonight, September 12th, 7:30 pm at Sgt. Peppers.  Tickets are $10 each and there will be door prizes, appetizers, a DJ, silent auction, 50/50 draw and other contests. Look forward to seeing you there!
