Midget, 2017-2018, Rep (Whitby Minor Hockey)

The Midget Selects won their second tournament of the season by defeating the West End Selects from Ottawa 3-1 to capture the West Hills Shamrock Tournament today. The Selects capped off an amazing season of hockey today with a 23-3-5 record, winning 2 tournaments, losing in the finals of a third and finishing up in a semi final in the 4th. An extremely strong record by any account. This was a mixed team of 2000 and 2001 players who gelled quickly as a team. The 2000's finished in style leaving next seasons team to be led by the 2001's. The Whitby Midget Selects out scored the competition 18-4 and go undefeated in the Amesbury Winter Classic finishing it off with a 2-0 shutout win of the Avenue Road Ducks to claim the Championship trophy. An excellent team effort all around from this great group of young men. Congrats to the team. Go Selects!
