Depleted CRUSHERS work Hard
Illness to many made CRUSHERS work as a Team.
After 2 weeks off and many CRUSHERS out with the flu, yesterdays core group had to rely on the solid play of call-up goalie Stapley from the Farm Team. There is no way Stapley would have survived without the stellar defensive blocking plays of Vallbacka and the strong angling of George. Ladak made picturesque blue-line dangles and A. Fitzpatrick completed some amazing rushes to solidify the defensive core.
Up front, the attacks were led by Cuddy and Nino who resembled bulldozers with there relentless charges towards the opposition's net. Au. Fitzpatrick and Richards produced text book forechecking challenges for the #7 Team, and Xiao continued to be an offensive threat in the slot. Sharland battled all game and illustrated the meaning of dedication with taking a solid check from the opposition, while creating opportunities for his team.
The Coaching staff was very proud of the CRUSHERS efforts and is beginning to see a lot of the skills worked on in practice being displayed during the game.
The team celebrated after with cookies, as it was Stapley's birthday.
