CRUSHERS and TEAM 12 Provide Early Sunday Crowd Pleaser
Both teams displaying obvious Development!
On one of the coldest days of the winter, TEAM 12 and the CRUSHERS provided the heat in an explosive battle on Pad 2.
The battle did not explode on the score board but on the ice with every shift. The scoreboard remained goose-egged until the 3rd period when the combination of Stapley, Nino and Delvecchio performed an impressive passing clinic that finally beat the TEAM 12 goalie. Stapley broke in on the left side and feathered a saucer to Nino from the corner. Nino positioned himself in the slot and made no mistake with a solid wrister.
Martin played another great game with acrobatic saves that frustrated the opponents shift in and shift out. Coach Stapley was heard boasting that, "Martin's rebound control and angles are that of a professional, with his reflexes resembling that of his Grandmother Lois, when she ruled the Ontario sport arenas in her day".
Cuddy made several rushes and played great defence and Xiao is becoming more confident and made great defensive executions throughout the game. Ladak and Vallbacka are working so well together that they sense where each other is at all times and Vallbacka was pinching more effectively along the wall.
George played a very impressive role at centre and constantly set up his speedy wingers of Sharland and Fitzpatrick, who all made great offensive maneuvers. The combination of Fitzpatrick, Richards, and Chung were a threat all contest and hemmed the opposition in constantly.
This is the second great battle between these two teams that has resulted in a tie.
It promises to be an exciting playoff. Get your tickets now!
