Bantam, 2015-2016, AAA (Whitby Minor Hockey)

The team took on the Quinte Red Devils, the Halton Hurricanes, the Brampton 45’s and the host Barrie Jr. Colts.  After round robin play the Wildcats were in first place and earned a spot in the Gold Medal game.  The opponent was the second place Quinte Red Devils.  The final was a tight affair between these two longtime rivals.  In the end the Wildcats prevailed 3-2 to win the OMHA Gold Medal. 

Congratulations to all the boys and the coaching staff for making it to the OMHAs!  Come on out and show your support! We'll be playing in Barrie at the Holly Recreation Centre March 11-13 facing Halton Hurricanes, Barrie Jr. Colts, Quinte Red Devils and Brampton 45's. I would like to thank Eggsmart and everyone who came out to support Emma! Whitby Wildcats Bantam AAA Boys Hockey served up bacon n' eggs on Dec19 and Dec 22. It was an extremely eventful 2 days. We were lucky to have The Princesses visit putting a huge smile on all the kids faces, including Emma! We were able to raise close to $2500 between Eggsmart and Emma's gofundme account. The Wildcats were finalists in the inaugural Vaughan Kings Classic powered Biosteel!!!!The team finished the round robin undefeated and with the #1 seed heading to the quarter finals.  They defeated North Central 7-1, EMC 2-1, the host Vaughan Kings 5-2 and the West Seneca Wings 8-0. In the quarter finals the boys defeated the Toronto Red Wings 3-1 and followed that with a 2-1 victory over the Toronto Nationals in the semi's. The Bantam AAA Wildcats won the Kitchener Blueline tournament in dramatic fashion this past weekend.  After finishing first overall in the round robin, the Wildcats beat the Eastern Ontario Wild 4-2 in the semi's and then beat the Mississauga Senators 1-0 in the Championship game.  Both teams are ranked in the top 15 in Ontario and provided very stiff competition.
