First Games
Our boys had their first tournament and competitive games together
the weekend of September 9th – 11th.
While they struggled during their first game against
Northumberland, they managed to come away with a tie. More importantly the boys
started to gel together and play as a team.
As the weekend progressed the puck was passed quickly and their trust in each other improved.
Their final game was in the semifinals against the OMHA Champions the Barrie Colts. While they put up a tough fight and were the first team to score against Barrie during the tournament, they lost.
Jonathan Fernando recorded the first of many shutouts our goalies will record this season and Liam Pile scored the team’s first goal of 2016/17.
Our season beings September 17th against Oshawa at home and we are all very optimistic of the team’s potential.
