Minor Midget, 2016-2017, AE (Whitby Minor Hockey)

The Minor Midget AE team is into its' final week of the season in a fierce battle with the Brampton 45's in a quest for the OMHA Championship and the Red Hats.  Brampton leads the series 5 points to 3, but the Wildcats can tie it up Saturday at 3:15pm at IPSC#4 and force a winner take all game Sunday.   Come on out and cheer on your home town Wildcats this Saturday.  Bring your noise makers!!

The Minor Midget AE team are closer to their season objective reaching the OMHA Finals.  The first puck drops Friday March 10th at 9pm at Iroquois arena vs Brampton 45's.  This promises to be a great series with the top 2 teams of their respective divisions facing off for the right to wear the red hats.  We encourage all our fans to come out and cheer on the Wildcats!

Whitby Minor Midget AE advanced to the OMHA semi-finals Monday night after taking the quarter final series 3 games straight against Barrie.  Riding on strong goal-tending performances, the Wildcat Minor Midget team played hard each shift and each period. The team awaits their semi-final opponent to be decided.

After an exciting series versus Newmarket that saw Whitby Minor Midget AE win the series in the 3rd overtime of game 6, the Wildcats enter the quarter finals against the Barrie Colts.  The team has hit their rest buttons and are ready to win one face-off, one shift, one period and one game at a time.  Good luck Wildcats!

The Minor Midget AE Wildcats ended the regular season taking first place in the Lakeshore Loop with an impressive 24-1-5 record.  The team knows that the OMHA Play-downs are the start of a new season and the previous record only determines our opponent.  The team is focused on getting better each shift, each period, each game and each series.  A big thanks to our sponsors for helping us get extra ice and development for the team.  Watch our schedule and come out and cheer on your Wildcats!

The Wildcat Minor Midget AE team is entering December on a strong note sitting in first place with a 13-1-4 record in the Lakeshore Loop regular season. The team concluded their 4th tournament in Ottawa in November.  The team had a great time despite not making the final rounds.  A special thanks to Parkwood Massage and Laser Therapy and our other sponsors for helping the team enjoy a great season so far.

The Whitby Minor Midget AE had a solid pre-season start at the Justin Williams tournament.  The team went 1-0-2 in the round robin.  A 5-3 win vs Ajax in the semis put the team in the final for a rematch vs. Stouffville.  The final game was back and forth ending in a 3-3 tie after regulation.  Sudden death overtime went scoreless.  After 9 shooters in the shoot-out, Stouffville outlasted the Wildcats scring the winning goal.   The Lakeshore Loop looks very even this year which will lead to an exciting season.

Whitby Minor Midget AE is getting ready to kick off the season with their first tournament in Northumberland the weekend of September 9th.  With 18 dedicated players, the AE team is looking forward to a great season in the Lakeshore loop.   Thanks to our primary sponsors - Parkwood Massage and Laser Therapy and Edward Jones for their belief in our team.
