The
Wildcats Bantam A White team participated in the Aurora Bantam A Tournament
this past weekend, January 5th - 7th, 2018.
On Friday,
the team competed against the North Bay Trappers for a 5-1 win. Saturday
started with a fun 3-on-3 mini-tournament, followed by a game against Mitchell
Meteors. The boys rallied hard in the third period to come back and close
the gap for a 2-4 loss. Never ones to give up, the team came back for a third
game in the day to win 4-1 against the Barrie Colts and secure a spot in the
semi-finals.
On Sunday, the team came out on fire! In a cross-over match against the Aurora Tigers, they won handily with a 3-0 finish. The final game, played against Osgoode-Richmond Romans saw the team victorious in a 5-3 battle. The team played amazing and never stopped working. Fantastic hockey to watch!
This title is a first tournament win for the team. Many thanks to the coaching staff for their enduring patience and time to coach the boys; and many congratulations to the team who worked hard, pulled together and made their "goals" come true! Onwards and upwards from here!
